PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER
V&H is searching for a full-time, energetic new organizer to meet clients, conduct walkthroughs of various spaces & implement organized, maintainable systems in client’s homes. Candidates must be able to work quickly and efficiently and be able to think of creative solutions for small spaces.
Job Role:
In-person organizing of various spaces within client’s homes, including but not limited to: pantries, closets, garages, playrooms & offices
Weekly (sometimes daily) trips to the Container Store for materials as well as re-stocking company storage unit with organizing materials
Holiday decorating / styling & removal of items (i.e. stair garland, Christmas tree lights)
Carefully packing & unpacking boxes for client moves (organizer will not be required to physically move/lift any boxes)
Administrative duties including: typing up materials used in client’s home so V&H assistant and other team members can quickly and easily bill clients
Requirements:
Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills for client correspondence
Must be able to dress professionally for client meetings and provide tailored plans and timelines for projects during in-person walkthroughs
Must have strong attention to detail and be able to take accurate measurements to select best-suited organizing materials
Must have an appreciation and understanding of visual aesthetics: creating not only functional spaces but also well-designed spaces
Must be able to maintain a balanced workflow and meet company deadlines without multiple reminders (i.e. knowing in advance how long to allocate for each client project)
Must be able to lift at least 20-30lb items (bringing heavy bags of organizing materials in and out of client homes every day) and stand for at least 7-8 hours per day
Must have reliable transportation (i.e. personal vehicle) and always be on-time to client’s homes
Ability to work with a variety of personalities despite potentially disagreeing with preferences regarding budget, materials, organizing style, etc.
Ability to select best-suited / most logical organizing materials based on specific budgets provided by clients
Expected Hours:
Organizer must be available from 8:30AM – 4:30PM, Monday – Friday. Hours may change slightly from week to week based on client needs / preferences regarding start times.
